Today we spotlight South Grand Prairie Senior PG Jalen Griffin. Jalen is an outstanding student on and off the court. He maintains a 3.3 GPA with a class rank of 367 out of 700 and has already been awarded academic scholarships after he graduates from SGP. He is an NCAA qualifier with an incredible work ethic on and off the court. On the court he has put together a great senior campaign, averaging 18 ppg, 4 apg and a team leading 40% shooting from behind the arc. Jalen hopes the Warriors are able to make a deep playoff run and be playing their best basketball when the playoffs roll around.
"Jalen put a tremendous amount of work into his game this offseason and he has really stepped up to lead our team. He has a genuine love and passion for the game and a true competitor, " says SGP Head Coach Brandon Bennett.
After he graduates from SGP Jalen plans on playing college basketball and studying technology at the school he chooses. He is currently undecided on where he will commit.
